PRESS RELEASE 12 March 2019, 01:30 pm

Suomen Hoivatilat's latest municipal contracts total approximately EUR 25 million

During February and March, Suomen Hoivatilat has won three public tenders for new day care centre projects based on the leasing model. The most recent of these was won on 11 March 2019, with Rovaniemi City Council's decision for a day care centre based on the leasing model to be built at Etelärinne. The construction of this day care centre, along with one in Oulu and one in Vaasa, starts in 2019 and will be completed in 2020. The combined value of the three leases, which will run for 15-25 years, is approximately EUR 25 million.

The leases include a service component in which Hoivatilat is responsible for maintenance of the properties in accordance with the scope of each agreement. All three tenders include architectural design, construction and lease pricing. The tenders were evaluated on both quality and price.

"I'm really pleased that we can implement municipal day care centres and school projects on a large scale based on the leasing model. We are currently building school properties in Mikkeli and Siilinjärvi for municipal customers. We have noticed that significant changes are taking place in public procurement practices: municipalities are now ready and willing to operate in leased premises as well, rather than having to own everything themselves. This requires us to be a customer-oriented, responsible and flexible partner. We are determined to meet our customers' needs", says Jussi Karjula, CEO of Suomen Hoivatilat.
